If any of you own/have owned a Fender Super Reverb you’ll be aware that it gets pretty loud when asked to. It has to be said; I more or less bought the amp after hearing Derek Trucks’ guitar tone on his album ‘Songlines‘. When I eventually tried the amp I was not disappointed – it sounds incredible! Only thing is… Where on earth can you go that you can turn the amp up enough to get ‘that’ tone?!

Traynor YGM-3 Guitar Mate Amplifier Modification

In relation to an earlier post reviewing an early 1970’s Traynor YGM-3 Guitar Mate, I came across an interesting set of videos on YouTube of how you can modify the YGM-3. I found this particularly interesting as I mentioned in my review I thought the amp was slightly bright at times. The modifications in the videos below shows YGM-3 users how to modify the amplifier, rounding off the high-end somewhat.
