The Frequency – Lighthouse – OFFICIAL VIDEO
South coast UK band The Frequency dishing out a solid dish of rock ‘n roll. I’ve been impressed by Austyn Brown‘s songwriting for sometime now, and I can’t help but want to grab my SG after listening to this track. Impressive video too for a band who’s currently grafting hard in the local music scene:
Gibson SG Standard, Special and Classic Demo
Rob Chappers giving us a low down on a range of SG’s. I’m always impressed with his video’s and he’s a fine player. Good stuff:
Avalon Guitars – John McCartin L32C
Heard a really good story recently about the great customer relations Avalon Guitars has as a company, as well as producing some of the finest acoustic guitars on the planet. A great company, with great products:

Up close interview with one of the original Iron Maiden guitarists, Dennis Stratton. One for the Maiden fans!
“Colour Jumbo” Colorsound Jumbo Tonebender clone demo from Big Knob Pedals
Really impressed by this pedal from Big Knob Pedals. Check it out for all your fuzz needs!
Nirvana Rehearsal – ‘Plateau’ – MTV Unplugged
I can’t believe it’s 20 years since Nevermind was released. Well, here’s a vid I came across recently of Nirvana & co rehearsing for their MTV Unplugged gig/album. I’ve always loved the melodic arrangement towards the end of this song (3:27seconds).
David Gilmour ECHOES guitar solo from Pompeii
The echo-drenched fuzz tones from Gilmour in this particular clip has inspired me to play the guitar more than anything else recently. There’s just something about that tone I love. Check out live at Pompeii if you haven’t done so already.
That’s about it for now. Until next time…
