Sucked in by Branding & Merchandise

Sucked in by Branding & Merchandise

I love playing guitar. I equally love Everton Football Club.

Look what I discovered…

Everton FC Electric Guitar and amplifierIn recent months, I’ve been proud in admitting I haven’t been swayed by brands or merchandise. No longer was I going to succumb to the marketing strategies of leading companies & organisations.

That went right out the window today. Within two minutes of receiving the latest Everton FC official club merchandise catalogue (delivered wonderfully in time for the run up for Christmas), months of resisting the lures of global marketing strategies were crushed.

I love playing the guitar and I’m a passionate supporter of The Toffees. Approximately 65 pages into the catalogue, sandwiched between an Everton branded rubber duck and LCD TV was the single-coil, Everton crested guitar of wonders.

Who knows what it will play like, and quite frankly, who cares? – this guitar even comes with an Everton branded practice amp!

Please Father Christmas, put one of these in my stocking – if you can wing it so Everton can be bought out by a billionaire and win the Premiership, that would be a bonus.

In Moyes we trust.
