Great British Guitar Show Comes To Birmingham For 2012

The popular Birmingham Guitar Show of 2011 is to be re-branded the Great British Guitar Show for 2012.

Organiser UK Musicshows Ltd has announced that the first GBGS will take place at New Bingley Hall in Birmingham on 25-26 February 2012, with more exhibitors involved than ever.

Show manager Jason Hunt said, “The decision to re-brand the show came about as we realised it was becoming a ‘national’ show. People were travelling from all over the UK to visit us, and as things developed we felt it necessary to tweak the show’s identity. And while there will be a host of international brands in evidence of course, we’ll also be striving to showcase the talent that the incredibly rich British guitar industry – from guitar designers to players – has to offer.

“Birmingham remains the perfect location for the Great British Guitar Show however, given its easy accessibility, so we’re pleased to be staying at New Bingley Hall. With the Midlands a hotbed of so much British rock and metal activity over the years, Birmingham feels very much the right place for a celebration of the six-string.”

The Great British Guitar Show is about more than just electric six-strings though. It’s the only large-scale UK guitar event that also caters to acoustic and bass players, making it a truly rounded event and one for (nearly) all the band.

Brands already confirmed for the Great British Guitar Show 2012 include Laney, Ibanez, Bose, Fret King, Line 6, Vigier, Rob Williams, Vanquish, Rotosound, Blade, and many more.

Tickets for the Great British Guitar Show are priced at £10 in advance and are available from www.greatbritishguitarshow.co.uk.
