I use this as my primary amp. Recovered from a dumpster and given new life.
…this is a strange beast…
Two channels with flexible switching. CMOS based drive circuitry and unique shelving tone stack. Three effects loops! Amazing reverb and 100W (at least!) of power.
Simple but odd.
Reverb is reverb drive and the output is fixed. This means that the less level you have the more reverb comes though.
The tone stack is also odd. You will have to experiment to get the feel of the tone stack. Mids controls both mid volume and resonance.
This is a strange beast.
Super clean and super loud. Great reverb. Gets a unique grit with the CMOS drive very usable but I still like to have a few dirt pedals.
One of the few solid state gems.
Why is this not a coveted amp? The head has some ventilation issues and I’ve had to repair mine a few times.
It is highly prone to a loud hiss when the output section goes bad. It is pretty easy to service and well built despite it’s issues.
I love this amp. If you don’t mind a little repair work (unfortunately it will probably need it), pick this one up for sure.
