Jaden Rose – Series 2 Guitar Review

This review was submitted by Guitar Jar contributor: Rick Diaz

I discovered this guitar through an English guitar magazine that had posted a review. It stoked my interest enough to email the company, and Jaden Rose himself responded!

…plays like butter! Easily plays as well as my Les Paul, Paul Reed Smith and Fender Strats…

Features:

African Sapele body, 24 frets, slim neck, 2 very “hot” Jaden Rose designed humbucker pickups. I had requested a “wide flat” neck, similar to my PRS, and it was delivered! I had also asked that the pick-up selector be placed in another location and this was also done.

Jaden Rose will make any adjustments that you request, no problem!

Ease of use:

Plays like butter! Easily plays as well as my Les Paul, Paul Reed Smith and Fender Strats. Holds its own against anything else in its class! Great feel on the lightly finished neck, made for speed playing!

Sound Quality:

The pickups smoke! I chose to go with Jaden’s stock pickups, rather than the offered Dimarzio upgrade. I wanted to hear the guitar the way the maker intended. Very sensitive, they almost beg for legato style playing.

I have been using a Les Paul so I’m used to digging into the strings, but with these pick-ups, I have had to use a lighter touch. Responsive and LOUD!

Reliability:

This guitar is solidly built, and with a lots of care. The guitar shipped to the United States and was actually still in tune! There are absolutely no issues with fine details, everything was spot on perfect! Very well put together.

Overall Rating:

As I have stated earlier, this guitar easily holds its own against my other 30 guitars, some costing much, much more. The attention to the setup and finish are absolutely stunning. The guitar is visually and sonically outstanding! Five stars out of five stars! Big bang for the buck (or pound, for that matter)!
