I was looking for a new 7 string that wasn’t off the shelf but also wouldn’t take years to wait for.
…I know where I am getting my next 8 string!…
Found out about Patrick’s guitars on Rig-Talk through his build progression posts and was very impressed.
Decided to contact him and in a few months I received my new 7 string guitar.
This guitar is by far the most comfortable I have played. The neck is something very special.
It is all hand carved from one piece of rift sawn mahogany. Very stable and feels great. This guitar is very light weight and well balanced as well. Nice comfortable contour on the body’s arm rest.
The combination of everything put into this guitar has made it just project in sound. This is a very resonant instrument and you can tell just by strumming the strings unplugged.
When plugged in the pickups provide excellent clarity for single notes and extreme brutality for rhythm.
The special material of the nut just lets the strings ring as well. There is literally no dead notes across the whole board.
I have had the H7 for a few weeks now and can’t for see any problems that could occur.
I have been informed how to maintain the guitar and keep it in a controlled environment. Plus it is constructed using rift sawn wood which is the most stable of cuts.
I don’t know where you will find a better experience buying a Hufschmid Guitar.
Patrick keeps you updated with pictures of the build process and is always quick to respond with any questions.
Build time is beyond reasonable and build quality is up there with the best of them.
There are many guitar luthiers out there surrounded with hype and long wait times and almost no customer service. Hufschmid is the way to go.
I know where I am getting my next 8 string!
