Vox Valvetronix AD15VT Amplifier Review

I read the reviews when this was first introduced and I couldn’t wait to try it out.

…I love this amp and remain a big fan of Vox…

Vox Valvetronix AD15VTHaving the variety of amps and effects available from one unit immediately appealed to me.

Because I didn’t have a ton of pedals to use to shape different sounds, this was a great option for me. I was thrilled as soon as I got this amp, I have always been a big fan of Vox amps and instruments, and it is such an iconic brand.

Features:

12 amp models and 11 different effects combinations, the ability to customize and save presets, excellent tones, sturdy construction, line in and headphone out jacks and best of all I have the ability to record directly into my interface through my amp.

This allows me to use my favourite sounds in my recordings and not rely solely on the amp models in my DAW and still have the flexibility to use those sounds as well as all of the other effects at my disposal.

Ease of use:

I was up and moving immediately. I did do some reading in order to find out all of the capabilities of the amp, but mainly I started playing around with it and checking out all the sounds.

It’s an amp, so it’s easy to use.

Sound Quality:

The sounds are great. It’s a Vox, so you expect great tone.

I can record direct or mic it up so it provides great flexibility. For a small amp it provides a big sound at a great price.

Reliability:

I’ve had this amp for years and I haven’t experienced any problems with it.

It’s well built, sturdy, metal grill and nicely fitted joints all around. It is solid in terms of connectors, knobs and circuitry, so I have had years of rich great tone with excellent clarity.

Overall Rating:

I love this amp and remain a big fan of Vox.

I wish they would bring back the T60 bass amp which I previously owned as well. With all the new amps coming out with amp and effect modelling, I am still just as happy with my Valvetronix.

It’s a great product and I’m more than pleased to have bought it.
