Zager ZAD20e Acoustic Guitar Review

I am just getting back into playing again. I was looking for a good playing guitar. I was thinking of a Martin and played a few.

I came across the Zager on ebay and started doing a little research. It seems to be pretty consistent that Zager owners were very happy with their guitars.

…Sounds as good as a guitar three times its price…

Zager ZAD20eReading the blogs, I found it funny that Martin and Taylor owners were very critical of them, even though they had never played one.

Zager owners would claim that these guitars would play as well as the more expensive ones they owned. I finally gave in and had to try one. I recommend trying one yourself. It is well worth the price.

Features:

I bought the mahogany acoustic electric version of the ZADS20.

It has a flawless gloss finish, solid mahogany sides, top, and back. Rosewood bridge with tusk saddles, abalone rosette around the sound hole, Grover tuning machines, and ebony binding.

My model is electric with Clearwave 10 transducer system with a built in tuner and eq.

It came with extra strings, the pick Denny Zager used to test play it before packing it for shipping, 5 extra picks, a picture of Denny playing the guitar, a certificate of authenticity, a Zager t-shirt, instructions, online support, and a lifetime warranty.

Also, I have to mention the customer service from Denny, his son Dennis, and Jill was exceptional.

They were so great to work with. I wish all my dealings were this pleasant.

Ease of use:

Incredibly easy to play. Zager guitars all have Denny Zager’s own custom design.

Sound Quality:

Great rich, solid tone. Sounds as good as a guitar three times its price. Also sounds great when hooked up to the amp.

Reliability:

I’ve only had the guitar for two days. I guess time will tell. With a lifetime warranty, I’m not too worried.

Overall Rating:

So far, I love playing this guitar. I recommend it to anyone who wants a really nice sounding, looking, and playing guitar for a great price.
