It was always my dream electric guitar; a candy apple red Fender Stratocaster with the maple neck! Saved up for a year (£529) and when I got it, I immediately regretted it!
…perfect sounds for any genre of music…
The pickups buzzed slightly, the action was terrible (strings hight from frets) so I took it down to my local guitar shop and asked if it was broken and they told me Fenders come NOT set up (they are not tweaked and made to sound and play good).
I paid an extra £20 and came back the next day to pick it up… It was a whole new guitar, they lowered the action to nail those crazy solos and it sounded and played great!
Perfect all round guitar! My #1 to play out of my electric guitars.
Brilliant vintage tremolo system
Incredible finish and paint job
3 clean single coil pick ups (Recommend buying lace pickups £15 each)
3 layer pickguard
Removable Tremolo arm
2 tone dials
1 volume dial
5 way pick up switch
When set up this guitar has a incredibly low action for really good ease of play with out giving a buzz.
Also this guitar is incredibly light good for playing long gigs with a strap, or walking it down to your mates garage for a band practice.
In a word the Stratocaster is heavenly.
No matter what style you play from soft blues to the heaviest shredding metal to the raw rock sound the Stratocaster has got you covered just make sure not to plug it in to a weak/cheap amp it’s like buying a super car and putting a weak engine in it… No ladies will be impressed!
Ever seen a road worn Ibanez? Or a road worn Epiphone? No? It’s because they break! There is 100’s of Stratocasters that have lasted from the 60’s and the sound only gets better!!
They don’t break, scratch or fail!
The most versatile sounding guitar with a perfect ease of play!
It’s not until you have some alone time with a Stratocaster you know why the big names choose them, (Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, John Frusciante, John Mayer) they are perfect for the price!
It has beauty, cleanness, perfect sounds for any genre of music, and a down to earth price tag.

Yep, yep, yep. My strat is just beautiful. It’s a mid 70’s jobby that I’ve had for just about forever (well from the mid 70’s) with beautiful low action and great sounds.
You always get a bit a buzz with those single coils but the tone is good.
Saying that I’ve got a couple of Squier Strats and they do a pretty awesome job for a fraction of the price. Amazing how they do it.
Glad you’re enjoying your strat. 🙂
