Avalon L25 Acoustic Guitar Review

This is my fifth Avalon acoustic. All of them have been jumbo, or L, size. I primarily use them for performing “live”. In my opinion, Avalon consistently makes the highest quality acoustic guitars and uses the finest figured tonewoods available.

I may live in America, but I have always preferred the Irish guitar sound. Avalon has a unique sound all their own. Long live Avalon Guitars!

Features:

Indian rosewood back and sides with an Alaskan dark cedar top. Gorgeous woods! Both the fretboard and bridge are ebony. The rosette is a beautiful abalone ring.

It has gold Gotoh tuners and a pearwood binding that looks stunning with the medium-dark rosewood and the Alaskan cedar top! It comes with the excellent Hiscox lite-flite case. What a wonderful, toneful guitar! But, don’t sit here reading my review. Go out and get one for yourself! Then, I can read your glowing report!!

Ease of use:

It almost seems like the fretboard was made for my hand! Easy to play and hold!

Sound Quality:

This Avalon jumbo has a mesmerizing, balanced sound. It is enhanced by the combination of the beautiful rosewood and stunning Alaskan dark cedar top. It also has a kind of “growl” in the lower register and a shimmering high end. I call that the “Irish” sound. I fell in love with the sound immediately!

Reliability:

This is a high end, handmade work of art. The Avalon company is the friendliest bunch of guys and answer my emails long after other companies are in bed.

Great guitar, no issues, and a great company! What more could you ask for?

Overall Rating:

This is my fifth Avalon. I trust that should speak volumes of how I feel about the company and their awesome products! Go get one! You will love it, also!
